OUR STORY
Family, Faith & Fellowship
We started this farm as a way to have our children connect, learn and appreciate God's Grace. We started with typical family animals. Everything changed when a twin pair of Nigerian Dwarf Doelings entered our lives and well, Goat Math is a Real Thing!

ABOUT OUR FARM
HELLO! We are Collin and Ann Johnson. We are located on Maryland's Eastern Shore. We have been blessed with our children: Drake, Everett and Bryce. We started out this small farm with typical family pet animals of Cats & Dogs. As the Children grew, we added chickens, ducks, rabbits & guinea pigs. Drake and Bryce joined 4-H to show their rabbits and guinea pigs. One cold winter day in 2019, a pair of twin Nigerian Dwarf doelings caught our attention on social media. We decided to add them to the menagerie! That was our Pandora's box!
Through the encouragement of our 4-H family and local goat mentor, the path of becoming a registered herd of dairy goats was undertaken. This was to become Bryce's (our daughter) small show herd of dairy goats. Bryce took to the world of dairy goats as a duck does to water! She began to thrive with the competition of showing and grow through the hard work and dedication livestock ownership demands!
Through those early years, we were exposed to other beautiful breeds of goats as well as some exceptional breeders who were so kind to help us improve the quality of our small but growing herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Eventually, Bryce saw and fell in love with LaMancha goats. Around this same time, the breed of Guernsey goats entered our lives to tie in my childhood of Guernsey and Holstein cattle. We started under a different name but through time and thoughtfulness, we landed upon Cherished Starr Farm. Please look around and maybe drop us a like & hello on our Facebook page if you like what you see!
